Contest for the International Mountains Day

Celebrate International Mountain Day with the Wind Farm Lički Medvjed and take part in an art competition! Unleash your artistic spirit, sharpen your colour pencils or pick up your brushes and draw the mountains around the town of Otočac.

Children up to the age of 18 can participate in the competition, and drawings should be sent by December 25 to info@velickimedvjed.eu or Instagram @velickimedvjed, together with your information (name and surname). We are giving away 20 gifts, so hurry up and show your creativity!

The importance of mountains
This year's theme of the International Mountain Day is the restoration of mountain ecosystems, which are increasingly negatively affected by the warming of the planet. Given that mountain areas are the source of most fresh water and that more than two billion people worldwide depend on food produced in mountain regions, it is more than clear how important they are and why we must save them from the climate crisis. And the only way to achieve this goal is the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, which is what the Wind Farm Lički Medvjed strives for.
