The wind farm Lički Medvjed submitted an Environmental Impact Study

The wind farm Lički Medvjed took another important step: it submitted a request to initiate the environmental impact assesment procedure to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in accordance with the Decree on Environmental Impact Assessment.

As part of this request, the wind farm Lički Medvjed also submitted an Environmental Impact Study prepared by the Granum Salis Cooperative, Green Infrastructure and Geonatura. Experts from various fields participated in the preparation of the Study, which was preceded by a one-year field survey of fauna, bats, birds and large animals.

Expert committee and public hearing

Upon receipt of this request, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development makes decisions on the appointment of an advisory expert committee that decides on the environmental acceptability of the project, and as part of this environmental impact assessment procedure, a public hearing will be organized on the Environmental Impact Study, at which representatives of the wind power plant and authors of the Study directly answer the questions of the interested public.
